In a landmark development for scholastic sports on the continent, the African Chess Confederation (ACC) in partnership with the FIDE Planning and Development Commission has unveiled a $250,000 grassroots education fund.

The multi-stage initiative distributes 10,000 DGT chess sets, electronic clocks, and structured pedagogical workbooks to schools across 20 member federations.

Certified trainers will conduct accredited seminars in English, French, and Arabic, ensuring educators possess the instructional frameworks needed to sustain chess clubs within public school systems.
