Casablanca to Host 2026 Continental Summit on Women & Girls in African Chess
The ACC Commission for Women's Chess has announced the convening of the 2026 Continental Summit on Women & Girls in African Chess, scheduled to take place in Casablanca, Morocco.
The summit gathers national federation delegates, female Grandmasters and International Masters, and sports ministers to ratify a 4-year strategic roadmap for female participation.
Key initiatives include establishing dedicated continental travel bursaries for the FIDE Olympiad, subsidizing title application fees for emerging Woman Candidate Masters, and creating executive leadership internships in federation administration.
